GPR120 is a long chain fatty acid receptor that stimulates hormone release. Calcium mobilization and dynamic mass redistribution (DMR) were used to test receptor ability. Figure 1 showed that amino acid sequenced structure of GPR120. Figures 2 &3 showed the response of the receptor to calcium mobilization while 4 & 5 showed the responses of DMR. The activation of this receptor stimulated calcium mobilization changes as well as DMR through a specific signaling. pathway.

Injection of certain fatty acids into mice activate a signal transduction pathway through the GPR120 unsaturated fatty acid receptor. Unsaturated fatty acids act as nutritents in the body or act directly in the hypothalamus. Figure 1 shows the experimental procedures used. Figure 4 shows the signal transduction pathway for this receptor. Finally Figure 9 shows the pathway used by the hypothalamus. When the ligand binds, GPR120 activates a pathway that switches off inflammatory pathways that were found in the hypothalamus of obese rats.

GPR120 acts as a medium and a long-chain fatty acid receptor. The GPR120 band was stronger in morbidly obese people (Figure 2). This may be linked to higher mRNA levels in these persons (Figure 3).

Long chain fatty acids are the main activating component of lipids. GPR120, a long chain fatty acid receptor. It is found in taste buds as well as surrounding epithelial cells. It plays a role in human gut fatty acid perception.

The specific chemical structure of fatty acids have a particular effect on the GPR 120 receptor (Figure 2).

GPR120 gene inactivation has led to a decrease in the preference for lipids. The different mRNA transcipts and gene expression were displayed in Figure 1 and 2 respectively. Figure 3 shows how the receptor is regulated by diet.
