Challenge | JmicG, Team Mighty Morphin GO Annotators | 2011-09-28 11:21:11 CDT | I'm not sure why, but the PMID reference code was not added correctly. The reference that I obtained the information from is PMID 9886856, "Mice without a Functional Relaxin Gene Are Unable to Deliver Milk to Their Pups." | 2 |
Challenge | BISON, Team NDSU Bisons | 2011-09-28 10:18:51 CDT | Just our of curiosity. THis protein appears to have functions in mammary gland and male gonad development. Is there an explanation how that goes together? I realize there may not be field to enter this, I just found it interesting. Will check here later, if anybody has an answer. | None, yet. |
Challenge | Vchhabria, Team KremlinOnTheCrum | 2011-09-27 20:00:01 CDT | I think this is the reference this was referring to PMID 14701741, an article titled Impaired nipple development and parturition in LGR7 knockout mice. In Figure 6, it does have an image of a LGR7 mutant, a mutant in a receptor for relaxin, with abnormal nipple development. The author cites another paper offering a similar phenotype for relaxin deficiency. This paper is inaccessible for free. | None, yet. |
