GO:0051971 "positive regulation of transmission of nerve impulse" is appropriate. The authors state "the bradycardic effect was significantly attenuated in β4−/− mice." Thus, the subunit must maintain the extent of a nerve pulse. The GO term is defined as "any process that activates, maintains, or increases the frequency, rate or extent of transmission of a nerve impulse..."

The evidence code is correct as is. While a direct assay was shown in Fig. 2, the authors use a mutant to compare the function to the wild-type. From the Evidence Code rules page, "If the authors are using mutants to show a difference between alleles, even if the authors are using a direct assay, use IMP."

The Evidence Code should be inferred from a direct assay because it is a graph showing data collected. The GO Term (GO:0048486) would better explain what is going on in the figure.

A figure was used and therefore the evidence code should be IDA, inferred from direct assay

Evidence code needs to be a direct assay.

oints and annotation credit go to Kfree, who was not only correct but gave a thoughtful defence to the annotation.

Not GO:0048486, a development term.
