Figure 3 (A) shows the nuclease activity of Cas3 in the presence of MG2+ ions. Incubating Cas3 with M13mp18 ssDNA over a two hour period shows increased levels of Cas3 correspond to increased ssDNA degradation.

figure 2 shows JARID1B removed H3K4 methylation in vivo. figure shows cell lines that have been with Myc-JARID1B, then immunostained with antibodies specific to methylated lysine residues. The top rows of A,B and C are those that are H3K4, and show cells are not visible in the red stain (the methylated lysine stain), compared to the other stain controls, indicating they have been demethylated.

Fig1.A shows that the staining intensity of HDAC1 are inversely proportional to that of acetylated H4K5 during oocyte maturation and reimplementation development. Fig7.A shows RNAi-mediated reduction of HDAC1 causing an increase for hyperacetylated histone H4.
