The Reference can't be a url Web addresss. PMID: 9778348 which is from Pubmed NCBI. Should not function about how the specific enzyme is conserved among many phages that require transcriptional regulation. *generalize information from reference.

Hello Sirs I challenge your annotation on the grounds that Table 2 doesn't reference B. Subtilis at all, as well as the fact that your Evidence code should be ISS not IDA. The evidence for your annotation is not from Direct Assay, but rather from your Figure 4, which shows structural similarity, not sequence similarity.

1.) Your PMID should be an actual ID rather than a URL 2.) I don't see how table 2 is relevant as it doesn't reference B. subtilis

None, yet.

You can't put a link as the PMID. The correct PMID is 9778348.

GO:0004799 thymidylate synthase activity PMID:9778348 IDA: Inferred from Direct Assay F Table 2 and Figure 4 compare the structures of E. coli, L. casei, T4 phage. More specifically, "the coordinates of conserved structural components of TSs whose crystal structures have been solved are relatively large (indicating a disparity of structure), topologically, bsTS-A is very similar to other TSs. As has been found with TSs from other species (13), while the overall fold and arrangement of secondary structural elements is retained, variation in amino acid composition leads to plasticity of conformation. In other words, while the sequential arrangement of secondary structural elements retains the “TS-fold”, there are significant shifts found in the relative orientations of these elements." complete

This paper describes the crystal structure determination of the thymidylate synthase protein from Bacillus subtilis (you should be writing something like this to start your notes), therefore IDA is o.k. as an evidence code.

Please improve your notes by describing specific observations from the figure and table that support the GO Term you chose. How do you know from the structure that this enzyme has thymidylate synthase activity? The paper describes conserved secondary structure elements that are present in TS, and you should also be describing those elements.

Fix the submission of Pubmed ID. You use doi instead of PMID?
