The protein should have UniProt accession: M4Y1F6 rather than previously described which corresponds to protein in Arabidopsis thaliana. Secondly, more appropriate GO terms should be GO:1900030 (regulation of pectin biosynthetic process). I know that regulation terms should either be positive regulation or negative regulation, however, the closest Positive regulation GO available is "positive regulation of pectin catabolic process" this GO term is inaccurate because pectin catabolism should imply that protein GalT breaks down pectin- which according to experimental evidence is not the case because if this is true, than root length should shrink. Thus GO terms should be GO:1900030 (regulation of pectin biosynthetic process).

This annotation has been flagged because it has been edited since last assessment ||GO:0080022||primary root development||PMID:23527103||IMP: Inferred from Mutant Phenotype||||P||Figure 4 shows that when A. thaliana is grown as a mutant with GalT1, there is an increase in primary root length than wild type. It also appears to have more bio mass. ||complete
