You should explain what about figure 1 explains the annotation. Support your claim even though you really don't have one.

You need to say more than just figure 1 to prove that this gene does what you say it does. Also Figure 1 had nothing to do with function, but rather just the transcription of 3 genes. Never in the figure does it say what these genes actually do.

It would be helpful to provide more context as to why Figure 1 proves your annotation correct. Also, I would expand upon the function of the gene, as well as how the scientists in the article discovered the function. Overall, there's a lack of information in the notes section.

Figure 1 of PMID:2963141 is a restriction map. I can't see how you are using it. Certainly with no notes. This paper can be used to ID tail proteins, but a GO term of Virion is far to broad.
