Figure 3 and Tables 1 though 3 give us information that the gene from the mutant phage was indeed interacting with the E. coli virus host.

Figure 2-Shows integrative recombination mediated by Gp33. Reaction products confirm that Gp33 catalyses integrative recombination.

gp1 of phage Ms6 is essential for efficient cell lysis. Figure 2 shows the activity of gp1 and the gene product LysA. In this figure you can clearly see that LysA is hardly performed or not able to perform at all when gp1 is absent. gp1 is NOT holin. Gp1 is the first thing inserted into the host cell by the phage, this opens a pore for ion and water flow that leads to cell lysis.

Figure 3-Results show the reduction of ATP to dATP with dependence on coenzyme B12 for activity. Dependence confirms Class II reductase. As seen in Figure 3c, only dGTP was found to stimulate reduction. Monitoring of absorbance indicates reduction of only triphosphates.

Figure 2b-Release of oxidized FAD confirms that enzyme is a flavoprotein

Figure 2c-Observed dUMP-dependent NADPH activity indicates sequential mechanism found within ThyX Figure 2d-Effect of ThyX co-substrate displays function through overlap at NADPH binding site Figure 2e-Conversion of dUMP to dTMP is observed (catalytic activity of ThyX)
