I believe that the GO term is invalid and should instead be GO:0009631 (cold acclimation). This is because the CBF pathway, in which the COR gene functions, is defined within the abstract to have a prominent role in cold acclimation. Cold acclimation is defined as any process that increases freezing tolerance of an organism in response to low, nonfreezing temperatures.

CBF and COR genes are known members of a cold response pathway. The expression of these genes is induced by cold temperatures in wild type Arabidopsis.
