Public Assessment | Scaruso | 2018-03-08 11:45:24 CST | Your note is extensive. It includes explanatory background, which is fine, but not always necessary, but doesn't have what you really need: How does a particular experiment demonstrate that we know the gene does something. So, you are annotating (claiming) that the paper says the gene produces a protein that causes cytolysis, and that we can tell from a mutation experiment. Which figure demonstrates that and how? Figure 1 is a background figure and figure 2 is showing where the mutations are. You want to use one that allows you to "IMP: Inferred from Mutant Phenotype" see a phenotype resulting from the mutation. You don't need to describe the whole paper, just the figure that lets you do that. You might also be able to come up with a better GO term. Check out GO:0019076. You might like it or one of its synonyms better. | Requires Changes ✔ Protein ✔ Publication ✔ Qualifier ✗ Evidence ✔ With/From ✗ Notes ✔ Unique/Original |
