Agreed. GO:0061783 peptidoglycan muralytic activity would be the most logical choice.

This is an incorrect GO term. The experiment does show that purified protein can digest E. coli PG sacculi, but lysozyme is a specific enzyme, not a general peptidoglycan digesting activity, and they did not show that it acts in the same manner as lysozyme (N-acetylmuramide glycanhydrolase) cutting the PG between NAM and NAG. It may have that activity, but Fig 4 doesn't test it. That means a more general term needs to be used.
