Figure 7A shows inhibited plaquing by T4 dmd knockouts compared to WT.

Figure 3A shows protection of DNA from DNAse I hydrolysis.

Figure 3 shows increasingly inhibited Int promoter transcription as increasingly larger fractions of the P4 Int gene are expressed. "Thus, when the P4 DNA fragment contained the whole int gene (pGM606) or at least 60 % of it (pGM605), the int mRNA abundance was greatly reduced, suggesting that Int negatively regulates transcription initiation at P int."

Fig 4B indicates holin activity by the presence of a sudden cell growth plateau via lysis curve (closed black circle).

Figure 3 shows a hydropathic plot for sieA and indicates that sieA is a membrane protein. NaOH fractionation (Figure 5) indicates the presence of sieA in the insoluble membrane fraction. sieA is not detectable in the soluble fractions.

Figure 1 shows localization of MBP-tagged gpX to the baseplate of the phage. The higher density observed compared to WT is a consequence of the 367 residue MBP tag on plasmid expressed gpX.
