CagL not only binds to integrin α5β1, but upon binding, it initiates several other downstream signaling activation of other proteins. Therefore the GO term should be GO:0007229 integrin-mediated signaling pathway.

Also the evidence code should be IMP because the mutation of CagL shows the defects in the downstream activation of ERK1/2, cortactin phosphorylation, and AGS cell elongation.

Fig. 8 Depicts the inhibitory activities of the CagL RHS motif mutants on these protein pathways (ERK1/2 activation, cortactin phosphorylation, and AGS cell elongation). Thus showing that the binding of wildtype CagL to integrin α5β1 plays a critical role in these other protein pathways.
