Based on the article, it does not say that there are chemical reactions with arginine but rather when it interacts with the substrate it becomes active. When the residue becomes mutated, this activity stops. I think the evidence code should remain IMP because it says that when the residue is mutated to have lysine, alanine, or tryptophan, there is no activity occurring showing that the arginine residue must be present to start the anchoring of the substrate. | 0 |
