However, it does show that coexpression with gp10, and endolysin, results in increased bacterial cell lysis. Therefore, a better GO ID might be GO:0044659 for "cytolysis by virus of host cell". Fig 2e of the same paper shows that the density of the bacteria decreases in the vector containing gp10(endolysin) and gp11 (holin), as compared to a vector containing just gp10, thus supporting gp11 involvement in host cell lysis. | None, yet. |
