The GO term should be more specific (GO:0004185 for serine-type carboxypeptidase activity). The experiment conducted was done by transformation of a plasmid, therefore the evidence code should be IDA.

Inactivations of McC by BaMccF likely occurs by the same mechanism. We therefore conclude that the MccF proteins from E. coli and B. anthracis are functionally equivalent to one another.||complete
