Figure 2K showed decrease in PSD-95 density when neurons treated with soluble Nrx1B-Fc. Therefore interaction between Nlgn1 and Nrxn1B is needed for location of PSD-95 at the postsynaptic membrane figure 2P and Q. Similar results seen when Nlgn1 is mutated there is a decrease of PSD-95 figure 3G and H. Only 20% of PSD-95 was present on dendritic filopodia figure 3I suggesting that the recruitment and clustering of PSD-95 is impaired. When Nlgn1 is over expressed these is increase in PSD-95 density, figure 4G, H.
