Figure 4B—a Northern blot that indicates significant increase in mRNA production in the present of VP30 and negligible or no mRNA production in its absence. This is supported by the CAT assay in Figure 4C, which shows a significant increase in mRNA expression with increase of VP30 concentration. This indicate that VP30 plays a significant role in increasing transcription activity in the Ebola virus.
