Inositol dehydrogenase, beta-galactosidase, and beta-xylosidase activities were measured in the wild-type (QB5081), ptsH1 [QB5224 (34)], crh::aphA3, and ccpA::spc strains as well as in the double mutant ptsH1 crh::aphA3 under inducing or repressing (presence of fructose, glucose, or glycerol) conditions (Table 2).

These results indicate that, in addition to CcpA, both HPr and Crh participate in CCR of certain genes in B. subtilis.
