The evidence code given, IMP, is not what actually shows the proposed exonuclease activity. Rather, it was actually a direct assay that showed the activity. The data given is gels, the dark spot farther down on the full gene present implies that that strand was cut, and the inactivated mutant shown (only the first 340 residues),nor the activated mutant (the remaining protein) doesn't help show that the gene is involved in cutting dna, instead it attempts a structural study, which is more indicative of direct assay than IMP. Thus I would use IDA for evidence code. | 0 |
