Figure 1b shows how that the N-terminal truncation of CD27L has greater lytic activity on C. difficile than the full length protein CD27L as well as the C-terminal of CD27L. This shows that the CD27L protein is involved in lytic activity since it has domains that increase lytic activity. A more appropriate GO term might be GO:0019835 since figure 1b shows decreased bacterial density (y-axis), or more lysis, with the CD27L as infection time increased.
