Public Assessment | Scaruso | 2017-05-24 14:38:52 CDT | Fig. 2 in this paper does show that this protein has endolytic activity, but that is not what the annotation says. The notes suggest that it triggers the cells to lyse themselves, which is incorrect. Also, the bacteria used were Staphylococcus aureus, not Streptococcus. A larger problem is: GO:0006553 lysine metabolic process. Lysine is an amino acid, not a biological process. If you had checked the ancestor chart, you would see that it is a child of GO:0009066 aspartate family amino acid metabolic process, which is part of GO:1901605 alpha-amino acid metabolic process, and so on. | Unacceptable ✔ Protein ✔ Publication ✔ Qualifier ✗ Go term ✔ Evidence ✔ With/From ✗ Notes ✔ Unique/Original |
