GO:0005730 nucleolus PMID:26967976 IDA: Inferred from Direct Assay C We found that NC localizes throughout the entire cell, including in the nucleus and nucleolus (Fig. 1A). As observed in the immunofluorescence study, fractionation studies confirmed that NC protein could be localized to both the nucleus and nucleolus and the same was observed even LMB treatment, an inhibitor of CRM1-dependent nuclear export (Fig. 1B). Furthermore, the subcellular distribution pattern of NC-EGFP also showed localization in cytoplasm, nucleus and nucleolus as untagged NC protein (Fig. 1C). To study further NC localization in the nucleus in more detail, we co-stained with LMNA, a nuclear membrane marker protein, and B23, a nucleolar marker protein (McKeon et al., 1986 and Spector et al., 1984), and found that NC co-localized with both the nuclear membrane and nucleolus markers (Fig. 1D and E)
