Figure 1 shows use of a coupling assay with NADH and ATP. This figure shows that there was specific activity with RifN and Kanosamine phosphorylation. This enzyme was tested in many assays with other simple carbohydrates (Mannose, 3-amino-3-deoxy-D-Fructose, fructose, galactose, glucose and kanosamine) and only the kanosamine showed significant change in absorbance indicating phosphorylation of only kanosamine with RifN protein. |
