Notes

In A. tumefaciens has an antioxident enzyme called superoxide dismutase (SOD) that is involved in the photosensitizing systems to reduce the damages from singlet oxygen toxicity to the cell. It it theorized in the three sodB genes that regulate this toxicity play the most in detoxification of the cell with cytoplasmic sodBI and sodBII in expotential-phase cells.
