Challenge | Sejal, Team UCL-Maple Leafs | 2011-11-21 15:58:04 CST | The GO term: GO:0016342 catenin complex is cellular component term therefore the evidence given shows that CADH1 interacts with catenin forming a complex (where the Cadh1 protein is located). Therefore this GO term is not meant to show localization of the protein which is a biological process. The new GO term you suggested (Team That Will Beat You) is a biological process term and it seems like a valid GO term to use but the immunoprecipitation experiment does not show the assembly (aggregation, arrangement)of component to form the complex, the only thing that is shown is the bonding. | None, yet. |
Challenge | Oherrera, Team That Will Beat You!!! | 2011-11-20 18:05:15 CST | The evidence provided does not show localization of the protein to the catenin complex but rather the formation of the complex. I think the GO term should be GO:0006461 - Protein Complex Assembly. | None, yet. |
