Challenge | Vchhabria, Team KremlinOnTheCrum | 2011-11-21 15:19:36 CST | Given the other annotations made to this protein, this paper does not support any other citations. I therefore think that changing the annotation would cause it to be wrong. I also think that deleting the annotation would result in a correct annotation being deleted. Does Oherrera and GONUTS want a correct annotation to be deleted, or a correct annotation to be made wrong? Furthermore, is it the intent of this challenge to hinder the growth of the database? I think Oherrera has already grown the database substantially, and wouldn't be a fan of halting progress of the database, and scientific advancement. | 0 |

Challenge | Oherrera, Team That Will Beat You!!! | 2011-11-20 18:00:52 CST | Binding terms are not allowed. This annotation should be deleted or the term needs to be changed. | 3 |
Public Assessment | Bmcintosh | 2011-11-22 21:04:17 CST | Bren supports the challenge because the rules of CACAO do not allow binding term annotations. The challenger is making a correct and accurate challenge in accordance with the rules and has pointed out an annotation that would otherwise be removed from the CACAO set submitted to other databases since we filter out binding terms anyways. In addition, the binding terms are still being optimized by the GO consortium & may in the end require an entry in the with/from field that has the ChEBI identifier for what is being bound. At that point, all annotations made to binding terms would have to be reviewed & reannotated anyways. Thus, I created a rule to exclude binding terms for this and other reasons from CACAO. | Unacceptable |
