It is unclear what figure displays the wild-type gel from which the repressor function is indicated in the paper.

To validate direct interaction in Fig.1 the authors use IMP, as outlined in another annotation. The w-t lane by itself does not provide evidence of trans. repressor complex. It might show transcription activity (which would be a different annotation), but not necessarily complex (the two proteins could interact indirectly by binding DNA at different locations). If annotating complex you should use WITH to indicate the other participating molecule.
