The protein identifier could be P0A357. The current identifier is from a different strain of listeria.

The protein should be P0A357 since they used this particular species.

The GO term could be GO:0006355 regulation of transcription, DNA-templated.

The evidence code should be IGI: Inferred from Genetic Interaction because the researchers used mutants with triple and double mutations.

Figure 2 demonstrates that when cspB is present in ΔcspAD the level of hemolysis was roughly the same as the Wt signifying gene expression was similar. When the cspB was absent in ΔcspAB and ΔcspBD then the level of hemolysis was significantly reduced which signifies that the gene expression was reduced.

GO:0006355 regulation of transcription, DNA-templated PMID:23952475 IMP: Inferred from Mutant Phenotype P Figure 3 shows a decrease in hly mRNA stability. Concurrently, knocking out CspB shows a decrease in listerolysin O production in Figure 2. This indicated CspB's role in the regulation of hly mRNA transcription and Listerolysin O production. complete

GO:0006355 regulation of transcription, DNA-templated PMID:23952475 IMP: Inferred from Mutant Phenotype P Figure 1 shows a decrease in Listeriolysin O production in the double mutant knockout strain compared to the wild type. Without the CspB protein, transcription and translation of Listeriolysin O cannot occur. complete

GO:0006355 regulation of transcription, DNA-templated PMID:23952475 IMP: Inferred from Mutant Phenotype P csp proteins are important in regulating the gene expression for the synthesis of LLO proteins, which help virulence of L. monocytogenes. It can also be assumed that because it reduces the bacterial resistance to oxidative stress, the absence of capB results in the reduction of stability given environmental stressors. The ability of cspB to regulate gene expression may stem from the fact that cspB interferes with the stability of the mRNA. Figure 3 shows that the reduction in mRNA stability decreases the % remaining hly-mRNA. complete
