The evidence comes from a paper by Amstrong (2013). Two mutants of the human vasopressin receptor, R181C and M311V, were characterized and shown to have loss of function. The mutants showed reduced signaling downstream of the pathway as demonstrated by lower levels of cAMP. The data is shown in Figure 1 A&B. |
