Detection of cleaved PARP-1 and caspace-3 are hallmarks of apoptosis. Figure 2B shows the detection of cleaved PARP-1 and caspace-3 in cells incubated with both Ia and Ib but not in cell incubated with just Ia or Ib. Both Ia and Ib of the toxin are needed for induction of the apoptotic process. |
